Board Certified Optometric Physician

Dr. Joan Frantz earned her Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University, and furthered her professional experiences at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Frantz has been a member of the Florida Optometric Association's Education Committee and has lectured at professional conferences throughout Florida and the United States.

Dr. Frantz has trained extensively in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts and more generally in the early diagnosis of eye diseases in older adults.

Dr. Frantz performs comprehensive medical eye examinations, treats eye infections and writes prescriptions for eyeglasses, which can be filled at our on-site optical shop.

Dr. Frantz and her husband Gavin make their home in Fort Myers. She enjoys racing cars and creating magnificent art quilts.
