Board Certified Optometric Physician

Dr. Glara Yi earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry, where she also served as a clinical faculty member. Dr. Yi has been a member of the clinical faculty at both the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the State University of New York College of Optometry.

She also received advanced training in the care and treatment of eye disease at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Dr. Yi has a special interest in the eye care needs of older adults in Southwest Florida.

Dr. Yi has trained extensively in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts and more generally in the early diagnosis of eye diseases in older adults.

Dr. Yi performs comprehensive medical eye examinations, treats eye infections and writes prescriptions for eyeglasses, which can be filled at our on-site optical shop.

Dr. Yi is an avid scuba diver, a sport, she says, where one is constantly reminded of the satisfaction that comes with having good vision!
